Bobby Moore was the captain of the World Cup winning England side of 1966. He played as a central defender and was admired by his peers for his ability to read the game. This ability meant he was world class at marshalling his team well and timing his tackles. Pele, with whom he is pictured, used to call Moore the fairest defender he had ever played against.
